Family Time
Thanksgiving is about family getting together with each other and long time friends to celebrate. Juliana's thrill that this holiday will be spend with Matt and his family. She's loved Matt since forever. They've been dating over the last few months and she is more in love than ever.

When Juliana's sister Stephanie shows up unexpectedly, Juliana's crushed. Stephie and Matt were inseparable all through high school. It was only when she'd been gone for years did Matt turn his attentions to Juliana. And now Stephie says she might be back for good.

Short story. Julianna has lived in her famous successful sister's shadow for years. She has also loved Steph's high school boyfriend. Matt finally seems to see Julinanna and she loves him even more deeply then her sister returns for Thanksgiving and Matt appears to fall under her spell again. Julianna is very surprised when on Thanksgiving Matt proposes marriage to her. I love happy endings.
This was a delightful short story about Thanksgiving and beauty doesn’t always win. When Juliana finds out her Hollywood actress sister was coming home for Thanksgiving she wasn’t that happy. She has been dating her sister’s forgotten boyfriend, Matt, for six weeks and didn’t want her sister to come home and take him away. But does the old flame show up for Stephie and Matt or has Matts feelings changed over the course of a year. You’ll have to read this very good short story to find out!
I may have read some of this authors (Barbara McMahon) books years ago before the e- readers, but this is the first one since I have my . This is one of the most articulate, sweet, clean and realistic stories that I have had the pleasure of reading. I really enjoyed the book, and I liked all of the family dynamics of the book, maybe because it bought back a lot of nostalgia for me. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends.
It was a great book about family gradation. It was good that Juilette and Matt was dating but he had dated her sister in high school. Her sister went to Hollywood after school and became an actress. She called sating she was coming home for Thanksgiving. Juilfetee though that Matt wanted her sister because of how he was acting with her sister. They were invited to his family ranch for Thanksgiving to eat. They went on a sliegh ride to his house for a talk and he ask her to marry him
The characters all have a richness to them, in spite of the shortness of the venue. Stephie is shallow only because that is how she was meant to be - shallow and selfish, seeing things only as they relate to her. One can almost feel the crisp winter air and see Juliann's hair flying as they are on the sleigh ride. There is so much to this tale, compacted into such a tiny space that the story has a huge impact. The action starts right from the first sentence and carries on until the last page is turned. There is so much magic woven into this story. It is a definite must read for the holiday season!
This is a really sweet short story... about 50 pages.
Julianna is an elementary school teacher in her hometown. When she gets a phone call from her sister, Stephie, she's having mixed feelings. Her sister is an actress and rarely gets home for a visit. And now she's announcing that she's coming home for awhile.
On the other hand, Julianna has been dating Matt for the past 6 months and is really hoping that this is going to be a lasting relationship. The problem is that Matt and Stephie dated all through school and into his college years while Stephie went to Hollywood.
Stephie is rich, glamorous, beautiful and she starts having doubts that Matt and Stephie may want to try again. Julianna's been in love with Matt for years. It's so hard to love yor sister on one hand, and yet resent her at the same time.
There's a lot packed into this short story, but every sentence packs an emotional wallop.
Will Stephie come between Julianna and Matt? Will Matt decide he'd rather be with the actress than the teacher? Only time will tell.

LOVE AND ALL THE TRIMMINGS is the second book I've read by Barbara McMahon and I loved this one as much as the first one. Barbara writes such feel good stories and I can't wait to continue reading all of her other books.
LOVE AND ALL THE TRIMMINGS is a short yet perfect read. Julianna is living in the small town of Tumbleweed Texas and is a third grade teacher. One day she gets a phone call from her sister, Stephie who is a big time Hollywood actress. It seems Stephie is coming home after being away for a year and begs Juliana not to tell anyone. She wants it to be a surprise. Well, no one is more surprised than Julianna who just knows her perfect life will change forever now. Julianna has been dating Matt for six months and even though she has never told him, she loves him. She has since they were kids in school. The only problem now is that once Stephie, beautiful Hollywood starlet that she is, gets her hooks back in Matt, Julianna will be nothing more than a distant memory for him.
Stephie and Matt dated during high school but once Stephie went to Hollywood and Matt went away to college, there relationship ended. But every time Stephie comes back she takes up with Matt, right where they left off. LOVE AND ALL THE TRIMMINGS really tests Julianna's love for her sister. Of course she loves her sister, but why couldn't she just stay away. She was truly hoping that Matt would be her forever love and she is afraid once he sees Stephie, her dreams will be gone forever.
Will Stephie steal Matt away from Julianna? Will Matt let his old flame go once and for all? The whole time reading LOVE AND ALL THE TRIMMINGS my heart was breaking for Julianna and what she was feeling. The only problem I had with this heart stopping story was that it was over a lot sooner than I wanted it to be. I sure do wish it had been a full length novel. I can't wait to read more by Barbara McMahon. She truly writes exactly what I love to read.
This would be a great series! The sisters have an interesting dynamic. It seems like everything is falling into place, but you just know that there's more out there. Hope to see this developed over time.
